DFWPulse Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Voxfa LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as DFWPulse, also written "DFW Pulse" ("DFWPulse," "we," "us"), collects, uses and shares personal information through dfwpulse.com, our newsletter, organizer accounts, public API and feeds, our social media accounts and any future mobile apps (the "Service"). In this policy, "DFWPulse" includes "DFW Pulse" and any other variation of the name. Use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

From all visitors (collected automatically): IP address, approximate location derived from IP (city or region), browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, links clicked, date and time of visits, and cookie or similar identifiers. This comes from our servers, our hosting and security providers, and analytics tools described in Section 4.

From newsletter subscribers: email address, the date and page where you signed up, and whether you open or click our emails.

From organizers (account holders): name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), organization or business name, phone number if you provide it, and the event details, images, links and other content you submit. We also record the date, time, IP address and version of the Terms when you agree to them.

From people who contact us: your name, email address and the content of your message.

About people named in event listings: event pages often include an organizer's name, business name, public contact details or social media handles. For Sourced Listings, we copy this information from publicly available event pages. If you want your information corrected or removed, contact us (Section 10).

We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, government ID numbers, financial account numbers or sensitive personal data such as health, religious, racial or immigration information. We do not process payments. If we review an organizer for Verified status, we use the account information above and publicly available information about the business, such as its website or social media pages.

2. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain and improve the Service, including reviewing and publishing Listings;
  • to create and manage organizer accounts and communicate with organizers about their Listings;
  • to send newsletters and other marketing about DFWPulse events and services, including to organizers and subscribers, with an unsubscribe option in every marketing email;
  • to promote Listings on our website, newsletter, feeds and social media accounts;
  • to understand how the Service is used and measure its performance;
  • to detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, spam, security incidents and violations of our Terms;
  • to respond to inquiries, copyright notices and legal requests, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
  • to comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

Public content. Listings and organizer-submitted content, including any organizer name, business name or contact details you include in a Listing, are public. We publish them on our website, newsletters, public API and RSS feeds, and our social media accounts, where anyone can view, copy or share them. Removing a Listing from DFWPulse removes it from our site, but copies already shared on social media, in feeds or by others may remain.

Service providers. We share information with vendors who help us run the Service, such as web hosting, content delivery and security (for example, Cloudflare), email delivery, analytics and maps. They may use it only to provide services to us.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith it is required by law, subpoena or court order, or necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of DFWPulse, our users or others, including to respond to a good-faith claim relating to a Listing.

Business transfers. If Voxfa LLC or DFWPulse is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

With your direction or consent. We share information when you ask us to or agree to it.

We do not sell personal information and do not sell sensitive data. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Cookies, analytics and similar technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, local storage, pixels and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service and understand how it is used. We currently use:

| Technology | Provider | Purpose | | --- | --- | --- | | Essential cookies | DFWPulse | Sign-in sessions, security (CSRF protection), preferences | | Security and performance | Cloudflare | Bot and abuse protection, content delivery | | Analytics | Google Analytics | Pages viewed, traffic sources, aggregate usage | | Maps | Google Maps | Showing event locations |

Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential cookies are needed for sign-in to work. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. Our site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

5. How long we keep information

  • Server and security logs: generally up to 12 months.
  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not email you again.
  • Organizer accounts: while the account is open, and up to 24 months after closure for legal, security and record-keeping purposes.
  • Listings: may be kept as a public archive of past events, subject to removal requests.
  • Records of Terms acceptance, copyright notices and legal correspondence: as long as needed to establish or defend legal claims.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
  • Access, correct or delete your account information by signing in, or by emailing us.
  • Close your account at any time by emailing us.
  • Request removal of your name or contact details from a Listing.

We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity, and we may keep information where required or permitted by law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws; you can exercise them by contacting us, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

8. Children

The Service is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. You must be 18 or older to create an account or subscribe to our newsletter. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us.

9. Visitors outside the United States

The Service is operated in the United States and intended for users in the U.S. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify registered users by email or on the Service.
