Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Effective date: August 6, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DFWPulse ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What DFWPulse Is
DFWPulse is an event discovery platform for the Dallas–Fort Worth area. We aggregate, curate, and publish local events to help residents and visitors find things to do across the Metroplex. Our website and social media channels (including Instagram and TikTok) are operated by DFWPulse.
3. Use of the Service
You agree to use DFWPulse only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent event listings
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest content without permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Post content that is defamatory, harassing, obscene, or violates any third-party rights
4. Event Submissions
When you submit an event to DFWPulse, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, promote, and distribute that event information across our platform and social media channels, including Instagram and TikTok. You represent that you have the right to submit the event and any associated images.
5. Social Media Publishing
DFWPulse uses the TikTok Content Posting API and Instagram Graph API to publish curated event content to our official social media accounts. We do not post to or collect data from users' personal TikTok or Instagram accounts. Content published through these integrations is sourced from our internal event database and is subject to each platform's own terms of service.
6. Third-Party Platforms
Our Service links to or integrates with third-party platforms (including TikTok, Instagram, Google Maps, and others). DFWPulse is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms.
7. Intellectual Property
All original content on DFWPulse — including our logo, design, editorial copy, and AI-generated imagery — is owned by DFWPulse. Event details (names, dates, descriptions) remain the property of their respective organizers. You may not reproduce or redistribute our original content without written permission.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
DFWPulse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that event information is accurate, complete, or up to date. Always verify event details directly with the organizer before attending.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DFWPulse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or attendance at any listed event.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.

This covers what TikTok specifically needs to see: a statement that you use their API to post to your own account (not users'), and that users cannot post to TikTok through your app. That's in section 5. Once the page is live, submit the URL in your TikTok developer app settings under "Terms of Service URL."
