General Questions
What is DFW Pulse?
DFW Pulse is a free community event discovery platform for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. We aggregate local events across 30+ cities into a single, filterable feed. Whether you're looking for live music, food festivals, family activities, or community events, DFW Pulse helps you find what's happening near you.
Is DFW Pulse free to use?
Yes — completely free. You can browse, search, and filter all events without creating an account. Creating a free account lets you submit and manage your own events.
Does DFW Pulse have a mobile app?
A mobile app is currently in development. In the meantime, the website is fully mobile-optimized and works great on any smartphone or tablet.
Submitting Events
How do I submit an event?
Create a free account, then click "Submit Event" in the navigation menu. Fill in your event details — title, date, location, description, category, and an optional image — and submit for review. Most events are reviewed within 24–48 hours.
How long does it take for my event to be approved?
Our team reviews submissions as quickly as possible — usually within 24 to 48 hours. If your event is time-sensitive, submit it well in advance of the event date.
Why isn't my submitted event showing up?
Events require approval before they go live. If you submitted recently, it may still be under review. Log in and check your account dashboard to see the current status. If it has been more than 48 hours, feel free to contact us.
Can I edit or delete my event after submitting it?
Yes. Log in and go to your account dashboard to edit or remove your event listings at any time.
Is there a fee to list an event?
No. Submitting and listing events on DFW Pulse is completely free for organizers.
Can I get my event featured?
Featured events receive prominent placement at the top of the feed. Contact us to inquire about featured listings for your event.

Finding Your Kind of Fun
What are the best free things to do in DFW this weekend?
A good weekend doesn't have to drain your wallet. Use the "Free Entry" filter on our search page to find exactly what you need — everything from gallery walks in Deep Ellum to outdoor summer concerts in Arlington.
Where can I find family-friendly and kid-friendly events?
Just select the "Family-Friendly" tag. This instantly filters for community festivals, museum free-days, and park events across cities like Plano, Frisco, and McKinney — so you're never guessing whether a festival is actually appropriate for your kids.
Do you list live music and local bar events?
Absolutely. We cover massive arena shows, but we also care about the local scene. Whether you want to catch a local acoustic set at a Fort Worth patio bar or a touring band at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, search the live music category to see what's happening tonight.
The Need-to-Know Logistics
How do I find events near the DART rail or TRE?
Every event page includes a venue map and full address. Cross-reference the location with your nearest DART or Trinity Railway Express station to skip the I-35 traffic entirely.
Where can I find information on parking for major events?
Whenever an organizer provides parking instructions, VIP lot access, or valet details, we include it right in the event description. For notoriously tricky spots like Downtown Dallas or the Stockyards, we link directly to the organizer's official site so you can grab parking passes ahead of time.
Info for Local Organizers
Can local businesses promote weekly recurring events?
Yes. If your restaurant hosts a Wednesday night trivia or a weekend farmers market, you can submit it. Use the organizer portal to set up a recurring listing and make sure people know about your regular events.
Is DFW Pulse a good place to promote a non-profit or charity fundraiser?
It's a great place for it. Fill out the standard event submission form and highlight your non-profit status in the event description — so readers know they're supporting a good cause when they attend.
