Antoine's Organ Live Piano Performances

As part of the exhibition 'Rashid Johnson: A Poem for Deep Thinkers,' is a large plant-filled structure called 'Antoine's Organ.' At the heart of Rashid Johnson’s installation work, 'Antoine’s Organ,' 2016/2026, is a piano, which will be played by musicians at scheduled times throughout the exhibition. When activated through performance, the piano underscores music’s life-giving capacity to convey narrative and communal connection, particularly within Black communities. Performances take place on the last weekend of each month. Free Admission on Fridays, Free with Gallery Admission on Sundays. Fridays 5:30–7:30 pm, Sundays noon–2 pm.
